How to Redeem Roblox Codes (Gift Cards, Promo Codes and More)
Roblox has two separate redemption pages and they are not interchangeable. Gift cards and credit codes go to roblox.com/redeem; promo codes go to roblox.com/promocodes. Entering a valid code on the wrong page returns an invalid-code error, which is the single most common reason a working code appears to be dead.
The second most common reason is the device. Redemption is not available in the standard Roblox mobile app or on consoles — you have to sign in through a web browser, even on a phone. Codes are also single-use and must be entered one at a time. A gift card normally lands as Roblox Credit rather than Robux, and you then spend that credit on a package or on Premium, though some card types credit Robux directly.

Redemption happens on roblox.com only. Any other site asking for your code is not a redemption flow.
Redeeming a gift card or credit code
Sign in to your own account in a web browser, go to roblox.com/redeem, type the code into the box and confirm. A success message tells you what landed on the account.
Two details trip people up here. The first is that a gift card usually holds credit, not Robux — you redeem it, the balance appears as Roblox Credit, and you then spend that credit on a Robux package or on Premium. Some card types are the exception and credit Robux straight away. The second is that cards go in one at a time; there is no way to stack several into a single submission.

Redeeming a promo code
A promo code is a short word-like code that unlocks a cosmetic item, and it has its own page — roblox.com/promocodes. They have never given Robux, and there is no version of the promo code system that does.
Worth knowing before you go hunting for them: almost every promo code in circulation is expired, and the lists advertising dozens of working ones are padded with dead entries.
Codes that are not redeemed on roblox.com at all
Most codes people search for are not Roblox codes at all — they belong to a single experience, and the developer of that game issues them. Those are entered inside the game, usually through a codes button somewhere on the screen, and they hand out that game’s own currency, pets or boosts.
None of it touches your Roblox account balance. An in-game code can make you rich inside one experience and leave you with zero Robux, because the two are unrelated currencies.
When a code will not work
Run through these in order — the first two account for most failures:
- You are on the wrong page. A promo code entered at roblox.com/redeem fails, and a gift card entered at roblox.com/promocodes fails. Same error either way.
- You are in the app. Redemption is not available in the standard mobile app or on consoles. Open a browser and sign in there — a phone browser is fine.
- It has already been redeemed. Codes are single-use. Anything posted publicly has been claimed long before you found it.
- It has expired. This applies to promo codes in particular, most of which are long dead.
- A character has been misread. Capital I and 1, capital O and 0. Type it out rather than trusting a photo of the card.
- You are signed in to the wrong account. The code lands wherever you are signed in, so check the username in the corner first.
The one rule that keeps you safe
Redemption only ever happens on roblox.com, signed in to your own account. Everything else follows from that single rule.
No legitimate redemption asks for your Roblox password on another site — Roblox says so itself. None needs you to install anything. And nobody needs your code to “check whether it is still valid” — a code is the money, so handing it over is handing over cash.
